Why You Have 0 Conversions

It's not what you think...

Having 0 conversions in your Google Ads account is not necessarily a bad thing.

Imagine you’re driving down the road and see a billboard for Pantene shampoo.

This reminds you that you need to buy it.

So you go to their website, and make a purchase.

If Pantene has a Shopify store, they would see a conversion.

But Shopify, and Pantene, have no idea where that conversion has come from.

Your ads act much like the billboard in this scenario.

People see your ads, and end up buying your product as a result.

Except with online advertising there is ‘conversion tracking’.

And so instead of looking at concrete metrics such as ad spend vs. revenue, brand owners get obsessed with ROAS & conversions measured by Google.

Yet conversion tracking is wildly inaccurate.

The image below depicts the steps that have to happen for a ‘conversion’ to register in Google Ads.

There can be data loss at each step, resulting in Google not being able to attribute sales to itself.

So you cannot solely trust Google Ads to make decisions.

Here Are The Steps You Should Take Instead

  1. Measure & understand your key metrics in a central dashboard.

  2. Watch my video that explains this in more depth.

  3. Have a consultation call with me so that I can explain what you should measure and what campaigns to run.
