Adding £36k In Monthly Revenue
Just by re-structuring the account.
We added £36k in revenue to brand X in under 30 days.
Only using Google Ads...
Here's how we did it.
1. Split Pmax
X was advertising all their products in a single Pmax campaign.
With asset groups split by category.
Using the 'table view' for asset groups, it was clear that there were 3 that spent 80% of the budget.
We left these 3 asset groups in the campaign, and created a new Pmax with the others.
N.b. Always keep your winning products in their original campaign when splitting out.
We set the budget of the new campaign to £350/day, and reduced the tROAS so that the campaign would spend more.
We gave the other campaign less budget, and kept the tROAS the same.
The idea behind this is to make sure that the best-selling products have enough budget to get seen.
As a result, the winning asset groups spent £10k+ (4k more than the previous period) at a 4.89 ROAS.
2. Optimised The Search Campaign
From the Pmax 'insights' tab, we found 5 keyword groups that got most conversions.
We created 5 ad groups for each of these themes, and added 10 - 15 keywords to each.
Why?
Ad groups = more insight into search terms + bid adjustments
Then for the last 30-days we've been excluding all the irrelevant ones to improve ROI.
3. Fixed the brand search campaign
The brand search campaign was showing for many non-brand search terms.
And it was using a shared budget that had not been setup right.
We excluded all but brand keywords, and setup 3 ad groups.
a. Exact match brand searches (ones we could identify from our data)
b. Phrase match brand searches (in case people don't search one of our exact match keywords)
c. Searches for reviews / testimonials (different final URL)
4. Setup brand shopping
Competitors were still ranking in the shopping tab for brand searches.
A brand shopping is a normal shopping campaign with all but brand search terms excluded.
We use a script to do this for us every day.
30-days of exclusion later, X takes up every single position on the shopping network.
