5 Tips That Will Raise The Conversion Rate On Your Product Page
The combination of a great ad + a great product page is what will skyrocket your store’s revenue.
In today’s email, I’m going to cover 5 tips to increase the conversion rate of your product pages.
Your product page is divided into 2 main sections:
Above-The-Fold (The section that loads before users scroll down the page)
Fold (The bit that’s below the screen)
The above-the-fold section (ATF) is what will drive 80% of the results of your page.
Much like the “hook” in a video creative.
Yet most brands are not spending enough time getting theirs right.
At a minimum, you should implement the 5 tips in this email.
Here they are.
1. Have A Value Proposition / Emotive Headline
You have 3 seconds to tell people exactly what your product is and how it will benefit them.
So instead of having a generic product name on your page, have one that is benefit-driven and / or will pull on customer’s emotions.
Example: Chocolate Protein Powder 500g —> Fast Mass Gain Protein Powder
There’s 2 things you should have for social proof above-the-fold.
A star rating with an emotive line next to it.
E.g. “Rated 4.8 starts by 100+ happy customers.”
And a great testimonial.
3. Instill Trust
Use a banner at the top of your page which highlights reasons that your customer’s can trust you.
E.g. “24/7 customer support”, “Ships worldwide”, “90-day money back policy” etc…
You should also put icons of trusted payment partners below your CTA button like Visa & Mastercard.
4. Create an “As Featured In” Section
If your brand / products have been featured in any notorious magazines, podcasts or YouTube channels then you should put them here.
5. Have A Variation Of Product Images
Your first image should be a high-resolution image of your product.
But what’s often overlooked is the other images you can provide.
These should be lifestyle images of real people using your product.
Don’t worry about them being professional, or super high resolution, a real image does more work to convince people.
(Bonus) CTA Best Practices
Here are the best practices for CTA buttons:
Use a contrasting color to the rest of the product page (green, orange and red convert best)
Use more emotive and instant CTAs. E.g. “Buy Now” —> “Rush This To My Door Now”
Use an emoji (these are tested to convert better than just text) 👉️
Have trust + social proof in some form next to your CTA button. This could be your star rating, a customer testimonial, and any payment partner icons.
I hope you got something useful from this email.
